My primary ongoing project is Bloodlines; or, backmapping a paid blood plasma donation from Houston, Texas.
You can also browse by themes like video work, bookmaking, mapmaking, and archival research.

Over the past year, I have been largely dedicated to a body of work titled Bloodlines; or, backmapping a paid blood plasma donation from Houston, Texas. An estimated 215 thousand people are paid to donate plasma, the liquid component of blood, each day in the United States. Plasma sustains a thirty-five-billion-dollar global market, and the US (one of few countries that permits paid donations) supplies about seventy percent of this market’s raw material. Bloodlines augments my own autoethnography with spatial, archival, and media analysis, as well as speculative making—collages, video works, pieced books, and counter-maps—to ask: how does plasma extraction in Houston construct paid donors as subjects?
